Scottish Place Names

Scottish place names like Ailsa, Clyde, and Isla have been used as first names for at least a century now. With the rising popularity of place names in general (i.e., Sierra, Dallas, London, Paris, and India), why not use a place in Scotland? I met a girl once named Caledonia (the Roman name for Scotland), why not?
